Roadrunner Food Bank operates its primary Albuquerque facility at 2645 Baylor Drive SE.   Longtime residents of Albuquerque will remember that our building was the former home of the Clover Club® Potato Chip factory.  It has now now been completely renovated and has been occupied by the Food Bank for approximately 13 years.  We are conveniently located near the Albuquerque Sunport, Interstates 25 & 40, near Yale Boulevard & Gibson Streets.  Get DIRECTIONS here.  In addition to the primary facility, we have more warehouse space in the 2400 block of Alamo SE.

The Baylor Drive warehouse comprises approximately 32,000 square feet, featuring over 22,000 square feet of dry goods storage space, nearly 42,000 cubic feet of cooler/freezer space, an 800 square foot food repackaging room, a Can & Dry Goods Sorting Area, and our 6,000 square foot Community Market shopping area.  Additionally, this facility houses our administrative offices, conference area, and Member Agency room.  The Alamo location comprises approximately 9,200 square feet of dry goods storage space.

The majority of the dry goods, freezer and cooler storage areas at the Baylor Drive facility are equipped with 15-20 foot pallet racking to take advantage of all available vertical storage space.

The Food Bank also has a small fleet of local delivery trucks to facilitate timely product pick-ups and deliveries.  If you live or work in the Albuquerque area, you've probably seen one of our vehicles hauling food.  All of our trucks are equipped with refrigeration units and range in size from 14-foot (six pallet capacity) to 28-foot (12 pallet capacity).  The Food Bank also operates a 48-foot refrigerated tractor-trailer owned by the state Food Bank Association.  Additionally, there is a Ford® Cargo Van for small pick-ups, deliveries, and to service the Food Bank's Food For Kids program.

These vehicles are on the road five or six days a week and while they are expensive to operate, we owe a debt of gratitude to Kraft Foods®, Ford Motor Company and Newman's Own® (Paul Newman) for their generous gifts to help build our fleet.  Kraft Foods®, a Philip Morris company, provided us with funds to purchase a 24-foot International truck in 1999.  In 2001, Paul Newman of Newman's Own® and Ford Motor Company®  gave the Food Bank two much needed gifts: a new 14-foot refrigerated Ford truck and new Ford Cargo Van.  Please help to maintain the viability of these charitable programs by supporting these fine companies.

Inside the warehouse, the Food Bank makes use of a variety of equipment: pallet jacks, dollies, and fork lifts.  In moving 1˝ million pounds of food per month, we are dependent upon quality warehouse equipment.  Currently, however, some of our equipment is near the end of its useful life.  If you know of good quality used equipment or would like to help us in securing more equipment, please contact us by phone at 505-349-8970 or via email at jeff@rrfb.org.
