Donor Corner

Special Thanks to McKinley Middle School students’ for their community spirit and support. During our Holiday Food Drive 2005, the school collected 1,092 pounds of food, making them a leader in the participating APS schools.  Plus in February they hosted a penny drive raising over $797.72. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Can-Struction For Engineering Week!

In recognition of National Engineering Week, the employees of Dekker, Perich and Sabatini created a can structure of their new building! Every detail of the building was included – down to pasta boxes for facades and Jell-O boxes for air conditioning screens on the top of the roof! When demolition was finished – they donated more than 500 cans to us!  Thanks!

Partner Agency Spotlight

Morning Star House

Morning Star House, Inc. is a community-based domestic violence shelter and support services/advocacy group for Native American women and children. Each year Morning Star responds to over 500 new survivors of domestic violence. Morning star was established in 1997 after research by the University of New Mexico Hospital revealed that no safe haven or shelter existed in Albuquerque for Native Americans.  Morning Star respects and promotes Native values and traditions.  In addition to the shelter, the organization provides an emergency food pantry, support groups, emergency cell phone initiative and special events.
