#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving held on May 5th, 2020.
This global day of giving is part of the #GivingTuesday movement that occurs the Tuesday after Thanksgiving each year. It was begun in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
With each day, the effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic inflict more pain across our communities in New Mexico. Schools across the state are closed, restaurants and other businesses are shuttered, and countless workers face the reality of layoffs, furloughs and missed paychecks.
Roadrunner Food Bank is seeing unprecedented demand not only from people living with food insecurity every day, but also from families that are newly in need. We are participating in #GivingTuesdayNow to help us continue our efforts in mobilizing to respond to COVID-19 so we can help our hungry neighbors.
#GivingTuesdayNow is designed to drive an influx of grassroots generosity, citizen engagement, business and philanthropy activation, and support for communities and nonprofits around the world. It’s a day when we can all come together and give back in all ways, no matter who or where we are.
We hope you will join Roadrunner Food Bank on #GivingTuesdayNow by giving funds, time, or food. To learn more about the movement, click here.
In addition to joining this global movement, during the month of May, Bank of America is offering a match to our supporters – your gift can have twice the impact. Click here for more information.
