The state of New Mexico's Human Services Department (HDS) is hosting a food drive to help food banks across the state. Shelf stable food donations will be accepted at any of the state's HSD offices through April 18th. Visit their website for additional information and a map of locations taking food donations.
From Wednesday, April 19th through Wednesday, April 26 you can take a "Bite to Fight Hunger" at any local Pappas Restaurants. Each restaurant will be collecting in-store donations and matching them dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000 all across the country! In New Mexico, local Pappadeaux's will be participating.
On the second Saturday in May, the National Association of Letter Carriers and the United States Postal Service host the largest national food drive in the United States.
